The wedding center in Long Beach asked me to paint two rose trees and some flowers below the window because ll the plants they put outside got always damaged. A mural is always a good solution ins such a case. It is good for a long time even when it would rain or snow. The out-door murals I did in Europe are still good despite the bad weather conditions.

The wall behind headboards in the bedrooms stays mostly empty because of lacking artwork. It does not have to be that way. The picture below shows some detail of a mural I did behind the headboard in chinoise style. That is a style where art is hand painted on silky wall paper. In this case I painted the wall first with a golden paint and afterwards hand painted some flowers with birds in the colors of the bedding.

The whole room was transformed into a rainbow colored space. The ceiling had been painted in a medium dark blue which looked very nice with the purple directly underneath. We used VOC paint from Olympics and all in all about 7 colors. I was blending all colors into each other in order to get no harsh lines. The rainbow colors were for a children’s room but can be done practically for any room.

Lake Como is a picturesque lake in the North of Italy, very close to the Swiss border, and surrounded by mountains. It is also the home of the famous actor George Cloney. The mural was done for a residence in famous Brentwood of Los Angeles. The house you see in the mural is the home of my clients.

Hand painted scroll (it is not paper); the scroll is painted, the iron rod too. The trompe l’oeil mural is in a hallway;
the quote was chosen by my client. The entire hallway was first painted in a very light and subtle faux finish, an ideal background for the papyrus scroll.

This mural is at the end of a long and small hallway, and adds depth and dimension to the hallway space. A Trompe L’Oeil mural is the best for small spaces. It creates additional space to small rooms or hallways.
Vineyard Mural for a small room
What do you do with a wall of 4 by 5 feet size which is the back wall of a closet?
You can paint it green or white or get it tiled or faux finished. But this would not make the room look bigger.
The vineyard with a path between the vines will add an optical illusion.
